Eventi – Midgard Viking Folk Fest 2016

Osteria Da Bortolino via Ponte, 6, 46019 Viadana (MN)

EVENTO GRATUITO!!! IN CASO DI MALTEMPO INAFFRONTABILE LA MANIFESTAZIONE VERRA’ ANNULLATA.

Following the successful expeditions of the past seasons, the legendary Northmen return on the Po river banks since 16 to 18 September 2016, in Viadana (MN)(I).

In the picturesque setting of the riverside areas, over 200 re-enactors (from Italy and other country) will create an event entirely dedicated to early medieval Norse culture.
In a rigorous reconstruction of a Viking trading post of the IX-X century of over 2500 square meters will be repeated daily life extracts, crafts, military and recreational performances, educational entertainment on customs and spirituality of the ancient Norse people … all enriched by historical market, music, food and themed drinks.

A look at us historically and culturally distant traditions in time and place, and yet so current and very present in the collective imagination.
Customs and traditions lost in time, but from the recognized historical value and absolute cultural dignity.
A complete and intensive immersion in the world of the ancient Scandinavian nations, to create a proper disclosure and cultural exchange.
A different event, one; far from common places and inappropriate connotations.
